Year 3 Teaching Assistant

The Head of a Primary School in Accrington are looking for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This school has received excellent feedback from previous supply staff members who all noted how friendly the staff were, and how much they enjoyed their time in the classroom.

This role is Monday-Friday 8:55-3:15.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-class support to teachers and pupils in the Year 3 Class
• Monitor and report on pupil progress
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment

• Promote and support positive behaviour strategies across the classroom

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with Primary aged children, preferably KS2.
• Confidence supporting pupils with a range of learning needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Experience covering classes
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
