As we celebrate National Teaching Assistants’ Day and we thank all our supply TAs who are so committed to doing a great job, day in day out, we want to showcase two of our TAs who go above and beyond, according to great feedback from the schools they have been placed in.
Here is what our consultant says about Karen Lamour:
“Karen has been part of our team for 7 years and has undertaken each role with passion and professionalism. She has played a key part in our team and provided fantastic support to our schools.”
Here is what Karen says about her experience of being a supply TA with us:
“I have just started my seventh academic year with Key Stage. Being on supply fits in well with my family life and I enjoy the variety of visiting different settings and also my regular placements. In my time with Key Stage I have always felt appreciated and I have a good relationship with all the staff in the branches, they are friendly and understanding.
Key Stage have given me opportunities to do things I never thought I would! I was approached to set up a creche at a Children’s Centre for a 10-week parenting course. It involved working with Centre managers, writing up risk assessments, planning and managing two members of staff. I wasn’t sure if I could do it but was gently encouraged and supported and it was amazing, I received great feedback and gained confidence…..it was a good addition on my CV!”
Here is what our consultant says about Pauline Harrison:
“Pauline is a fantastic TA – she is very flexible and works very well with children on a 1-1 basis with SEND as well as general class support. She has a very calming manner and is a good listener ensuring that each child she works with progress’s to the best of their ability.
Pauline has a real passion in helping children succeed and ensuring they fully engage in tasks and activities. Will always support the class teacher making sure all children engage well.
Pauline receives excellent feedback and is requested into schools on a regular basis. She is just amazing!

“I have worked for Key Stage for six years and in that time I found the staff to be friendly, helpful and good listeners. They always try and accommodate any preferences I have had regarding location of work and year groups. I would have no hesitation in recommending Key Stage to anyone considering doing supply work. ”
