Teaching Assistant KS1

A Headteacher from a lovely school in Garstang, Preston are looking to appoint a KS1 TA Level 2 this is a Wednesday to Friday TA role working across Pre School, KS1 and KS2. The school would ideally like someone who can work full days, including breakfast club, with hours of 7:45am to 3:15pm.
There is no SEND requirement for this role, and the school is looking for someone who can support across the different age groups.

Primary Teaching Assistant role requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based desirable)
  • Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting
  • Understanding of the primary curriculum within KS2 and adapting as required for the pupils learning needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, proactive and supportive approach
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will:

• • Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
  • Encourage pupil engagement and participation
  • Support behaviour management using positive strategies
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams
