SEND Teacher

Key Stage Teacher Supply is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join a supportive school in the Preston area. The role will involve working with KS4-aged pupils with additional needs who are accessing a primary-level curriculum, providing a tailored and inclusive learning environment based on their individual abilities and needs. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support with their learning and development, the school has a strong focus on inclusive education and supporting pupils to make progress both academically and personally. You will work as part of a supportive team alongside teaching assistants, SENCO and other school staff to provide a positive and structured learning environment.

 Primary Teacher role requirements: 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experinace with SEND and teaching SEND. 
  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1 or KS2) 
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons 
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills 
  • A proactive and reflective approach to teaching 
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing 
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply 

 
The successful  Primary Teacher will: 

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the primary curriculum
  • Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs
  • Monitor, assess and track pupil progress 
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies 
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment 
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO and leadership
