SEND Teaching Assistant – Clitheroe Primary School

We are recruiting for SEND Teaching Assistants to support a young pupil with severe complex needs on a one-to-one basis working within our Clitheroe Primary School.

Are you a teacher returning to work and wanting to work as a Teaching Assistant for a while to build up your confidence?

We have an increase in demand for staff with SEND experience to work on both a day-to-day and long-term basis in local nurseries and schools – both specialist and mainstream. We are interested in speaking to both Level 2 and Level 3 qualified staff for this role.

To be a successful teaching assistant you will need to be:

  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • SEND Experience
  • Autism experience is desirable
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure (Key Stage Teacher Supply can process this for you)
  • Confident in the national curriculum
  • Be able to differentiate learning material where possible
  • Have effective behaviour management
  • Ideally have own transport
  • Have a friendly and approachable manner
  • A true passion for making a difference
