Job Description

The headteacher of a friendly, Outstanding, inclusive school in Preston is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a child in a Reception, on a 1to1 basis. The role is to start in September and will continue, for the right person, for the full academic year.

The successful Teaching Assistant must be able to work well as part of a team, have a good work ethic and a good sense of humour!

The school are searching for an experienced Teaching Assistant who can confidently support a child with Downs Syndrome in Reception. The successful Teaching Assistant will be expected to fully immerse themselves in school life and to be an active part of their dedicated team of friendly staff.

The required experience for the Teaching Assistant role is:

•    SEND Strategies
•     Knowledge and experience of Now/Next
•     Sensory input
•     EYFS knowledge
•     Pivats
•     ASD Tray Systems
•     Relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification to Level 2
