Today we are celebrating our 16th Birthday! It was sixteen years ago that Key Stage Teacher Supply first opened its doors in Blackburn with Darwen with just two members of staff.
Now, three branches later with a team of seventeen wonderful staff, we are proud to be celebrating today. We would like to say a huge thank-you to all of our candidates and clients who have supported us over the last sixteen years. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Key Stage Teacher Supply are delighted to offer you English and Mathematics interactive primary curriculum workshops in November!
The workshops will be delivered by two experienced Primary Advisory Consultants who will offer you:
• An up to date and interactive overview of the new curriculum
• Lots of ideas and activities to adapt for your own classrooms whilst on supply
• More confidence in working with the updated Maths and English curriculum
The English workshops will be on Monday 14th November and Monday 21st November, 5.00-7.00pm at Chorley Woodlands Conference Centre. Cost £ 30.00 – this covers both sessions. You can only book a place if you can attend both sessions.
The Maths workshops will be on Wednesday 16th November and Wednesday 23rd November, 5.00-7.00pm at Chorley Woodlands Conference Centre. Cost £ 30.00 – this covers both sessions. Again, you can only book on the Maths course if you can attend BOTH sessions.
Hurry! Places are limited!
To secure a place you need to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org – and then make payment to your local branch with cash or a cheque, or you can send a cheque (made payable to ‘Key Stage Teacher Supply’) to: Catherine Byrom, Key Stage Teacher Supply, 9 Preston New Road, Blackburn, BB2 1AR.
With the rule changes implemented by HMRC last year, the tax advantages of being able to offset expenses have largely evaporated.
Many agencies still insist their temporary workers sign up to their preferred umbrella company as, unlike Key Stage, they do not have their own payroll department.
What is often not made clear are the charges of between £20 and £30 per week made by the umbrella, paid out of your wage, a yearly cost to you of up to £1200.
The cost advantage to the agency is obviously considerable, but why should you pay for a service that should be provided by the agency anyway?
At Key Stage we do not charge or take a cut to process your wages and, being in-house, it is easy for you to contact us with any pay query you may have – without having to speak to a third party.
Contact your nearest Key Stage branch to arrange an interview and start saving on unnecessary charges. Blackburn 01254 507210, Chorley 01257 240960, Lancaster 012524 597170.
We are pleased to announce that we will be attending the University of Cumbria annual Education Conference, which will be held on Monday 17th October at the Lancaster campus, and Tuesday 18th October at the Carlisle campus.
On both days there will be a career fair from 11.00am to 2.00pm, and we will have a stand, so you can come down and meet us!
There will also be workshops on the following topics: using social media as a teacher, your NQT year, Early Years specialisms, alternatives to teaching with an Education degree.
We look forward to seeing you there!
