At this time of year when you are beginning to look towards graduation and your future careers, supply teaching becomes a viable and useful tool, both in terms of its flexibility and in order to gain a wider variety of experience.
As a Supply Agency, Key Stage Teacher Supply have found that our teachers feel that supply work gives them a deeper insight into the education process, and allows NQT’s to further observe a wide range of diverse management strategies and learn new skills.
We at Key Stage Teacher Supply pride ourselves on our ability to listen and go that little bit further to meet the needs of both our Teachers and our Schools. We fully support our NQT’s and offer access to an up to date library of lesson plans and work sheets.
We have very strong relationships with our schools and consequently we are the first to hear about both current and future vacancies, from maternity cover to permanent positions.
NQT INDUCTION EXTENSION INFORMATION
NQTs are only permitted to undertake 4 terms (16 months) on short term supply unless they are actively completing their induction during this time. The 4 terms rule would commence on the 1 st day of paid supply teaching.
If you are unable to complete your NQT induction during this time then you would need to apply for an extension via your LEA which is for up to 12 months.
Dependant on the authority it can take up to 2 months for your application to be granted.
