LATEST NEWS ON CHANGES TO THE NATIONAL CURRICULUM
There are lots of changes happening across education from September 2014.
Please find attached the whole Primary National Curriculum, the Secondary National Curriculum and the summary of changes information document for Schools in England.
If you are a Primary Teacher, please bear this in mind:
Teachers should note that in the 2014 to 2015 academic year, pupils in years 2 and 6 should be taught the current programmes of study in english, mathematics and science. These pupils will sit the current key stage 1 and 2 tests respectively. New tests will be available from 2016.
If you are Secondary School Teacher:
Pupils in years 10 and 11 in 2014/15, who will be taught the new national curriculum in all subjects except english, mathematics and science programmes of study, where they will study the current key stage 4 programmes of study. The new national curriculum in english, mathematics and science will be introduced from 2015, alongside reformed GCSEs in these subjects.
